IPB, Host for AIC Workshop on Food and Agriculture Cluster Monday, March 2, 2015

Research and Innovation Directorate of Bogor Agricultural University (DRI-IPB) in collaboration with The Australian-Indonesian Centre (AIC) Food and Agriculture Cluster held a workshop on Tuesday (24/2) at the IPB International Convention Center (IICC), Bogor. The event was attended by a number of state universities (PTN) in Indonesia and Australia. State universities of Indonesia are IPB, ITS, ITB, Airlangga University, UGM, UNHAS and UI, while the Australian Universities are Monash University, Australian National University, University of Melbourne, The University of Sydney and CSIRO research institute.
The event was opened by the Vice-Rector for Research and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Anas Miftah Fauzi. In his speech, he delivered the objective and agenda of the meeting, that is, is to equate steps and perception of their common interests between Indonesia and Australia. This meeting is expected to produce a common platform or thought to make it possible to determine joint steps. He also emphasized the good management of food system

This workshop is a series of activities held from June 23 to 25 February 2015. The first day is a presentation of research by the Indonesian and Australian, attended by the industry and related research centers in IPB. The event was closed with a visit to local industries of agro / food processing in Bogor on the third day (25/2). (Mtd)
