Ready to Build Villages with Ormawa IPB University, the Chairperson of DPMD Bogor Regency: Next Year Minimum 40 Villages

The Directorate of Student Affairs of IPB University held a service workshop in order to strengthen the support network of various parties in the activities of the Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK Ormawa) 2024. The activity was held on Tuesday (8/7), located in the Academic Senate Conference Room, IPB Dramaga Campus. 

In this activity, the Chairperson of Community and Village Empowerment Agency (DPMD) of Bogor Regency, Renaldi Yushab Fiansyah, SSos, was also present. According to him, “This activity is very appropriate to be carried out by bringing together us from the district government with students who are carrying out the PPK Ormawa service program in the village and accompanied by the village chairperman and sub-district chairman respectively.”

“We are committed to building more partnerships for universities in Bogor in supporting community empowerment activities. Hopefully, next year there can be more ormawa that contribute to the village, if possible at least 40 villages,” said Renaldi in the workshop discussion session.

Dr Ujang Suwarna said that the purpose of this workshop was to realize PPK Ormawa activities that benefit the community and villages through the support and involvement of various parties, both universities and district governments.

“PPK Ormawa is not just a competition, but also community service and empowerment. Show exemplary and progress principles from the behavior of friends. Please learn from various sources, utilize existing resources and give impact to the community,” said Prof Ernan Rustiadi as Vice Rector of IPB University for Research, Innovation and Agromaritime Development.

This activity was attended by sub-district chairperson, village chief of PPK Ormawa partners, service supervisors, PPK Ormawa assistant lecturers, and the entire 2024 student team. (*/Rz) (IAAS/Hap)
