IPB University Extends MoU with One of the Most Nobel Laureating Universities in Europe
Georg August University of Goettingen (GAUG) Germany and IPB University extended the text of understanding (MoU) in order to strengthen impact-oriented academic, research and outreach collaboration. Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria said, the renewal of this MoU was based on several things, one of which was the challenge of transforming future higher education, the increasing importance of protecting personal data and the increasing global mobility of students and staff through doctoral, joint/double degree research programs and others. .
"One of the leading joint master degree programs offered by IPB University and GAUG is Agribusiness (IPB University) and International Agrobusiness and Rural Development (GAUG)," explained Prof Arif.
Based on the Goettingen University History page (https://www.uni-goettingen.de/en/nobel+prize+laureates+from+g%C3%B6ttingen/4281.html), 47 Nobel laureates have lived in Goettingen in building their careers academic and scientific. This achievement made Goettingen the city that received the most Nobel Prize Laureates in Europe, besides Stockholm.
Through a solid foundation and a long history of collaboration between IPB University and GAUG which has been going on for more than 30 years, Rector of IPB University Prof Arif Satria and President of GAUG Prof Metin Tolan agreed to carry the theme 'impact' from the collaboration that has been and will take place forward.
As is known, IPB University and GAUG are included in the Top 100 QS University Ranking by Subject Agriculture and Forestry which is a strong capital to produce a meaningful impact from the various tridharma activities carried out by the two universities.
During his visit to Goettingen, the Chancellor of IPB University also had the opportunity to meet staff, alumni and students of IPB University who were undertaking doctoral study assignments, doing research and other activities. (*/Rz) (IAAS/Resu)
