Batch 5 Institute Ambassadors Are Ready to Serve IPB University
As the spearhead of institutional promotion, the Institute Ambassador (DI) needs to be equipped with a variety of knowledge and have qualified expertise to disseminate information about IPB University to the wider community. The ambassadors who are selected student achievers have undergone rigorous selection from the faculty level to the level of IPB University. Before being ready to serve and serve, the ambassadors get a comprehensive briefing ranging from mastery of information about IPB University, public speaking, personal branding, promotional tips, how to manage social media to how to care for appearance. The debriefing was held at the Dramaga and Saung Dolken Campuses, (5-9 / 8).
"IPB University has a myriad of outstanding achievements and innovations. IPB University has been named an innovation campus since 2008 until now. The presence of Institute Ambassadors will help promote these innovations to the wider community, "said the Secretary of the Institute, Dr. Aceng Hidayat.
Dr. Aceng stressed that the ambassadors must understand the current condition of IPB University which requires branding. He added that students especially IPB University ambassadors have a strategic role to bring the good name of IPB University to the public arena. The Ambassador of the Institute is the face of IPB University. According to him, because of this urgency the ambassadors need to have three things, including knowledge of IPB University, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, friendliness and good personality.
In addition to material from the heads of related work units within the University of IPB, the ambassadors also received current material and practices from professionals who are experts in their fields, including Personal Branding from Amalia E Maulana (branding consultant), Public Speaking from Haikal Saputra (MC professional ), Social Media Management from Maya Rahma (Influencer) and Ethical Performance material from Dwi Graha (Deputy I Abang, South Jakarta 2018).
To support the excellence in their duties, the ambassadors also received material with complete practices in the beauty and grooming class that was filled by MUA Professional from Transcorp. For the sake of upholding discipline in their duties, the 22 ambassadors were also forged with mental training by a student regiment through night safari activities.
"The Ambassadors of IPB University are expected to be able to prepare themselves in accordance with the competencies needed, such as strong character, broad insight about IPB University and the innovations produced by IPB University, which normally will be the subject of discussion with the public when serving educational visits and exhibitions," said Head of the Communication Bureau, Yatri Indah Kusumastuti.
He also hopes that the 5th generation of IPB University ambassadors can benefit from a full week of learning that can be implemented in their daily tasks as ambassadors of IPB University. (AVR)
