Total of 1474 graduate candidates of Vocational School IPB University joined Vocational School Pre Graduation Provision, Monday (4/11) in IPB Dramaga Campus. Career provision for the graduates came two interviewees that are Jamiludin Sugito, SP, Production and Farmer Coordination Team of Edaku Nusantara and Agro Milenial and Ismet Ali, ATP, ACP, alumnae of Social Economics of 1985 that also Master Coach 3C Virtual Human Capital.

Directore of Student IPB University, Dr Alim Setiawan in his speech said the important message to the graduate candidates of Vocational School IPB University hoped to keep the nobleness of character. Because, one of the key of success  is noble character,” said the lecturer of Department of Management IPB University.

Dr Alim added a word, “when character is lost all is lost”. “The graduates have to develop the character because the great career of people but bad character, what will happen is corruption,” said Dr Alim.

He explained, the top five of success keys is not Grade-point average (IPK), not also favorite school, but the number one is the honesty. Second is discipline, networking, and life companion.

Next, Dr Alim said that the graduates must increase their skill and competence. “Do the best, because future challenge become heavier, must be agile, and creative. The graduates also have to show the much creations and achievements. Professional career, private, must contribute to institution and environment. Be the most useful human, able to contribute with creation and achievements also noble,” explained Dr Alim.

Beside that, Dr Alim congratulate the graduates achievement and fights, hardworking, studying, practicum, field tasks, final report. Congratulation also by Dr Bagus P Purwanto, Vice Dean of Academic and Student Affairs Vocational School IPB University.

Jamiludin Sugito, SP opened his presentation session with questions to prospective graduates about how to find purpose in life for yourself. Jamaludin conveyed the results of a survey related to one of the hundred oldest humans in the world capable of more than one hundred years old. "Interestingly, one hundred of them 25 percent came from Japan, from the Okinawa region. As many as 75 percent more spread throughout the world. After exploring the Japanese Okinawa community has the concept of Ikigai. Namely the concept of recognizing one's life goals which includes passion, mission and proffession. "What is your expertise? What job do you want? What is needed in the world, what do you love? "

Meanwhile, Ismet Ali, ATP, ACP conveyed the importance of knowing self competence, having the skills and abilities of the field being controlled. "If we have special competencies, we have a high bargaining position," said Ismet. (NR)
