The Soft Opening of IPB Biz Travel & Tours Business
Directorate of Business and Commercial Asset Management of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), organized Soft Launching for IPB Biz Travel & Tours. It is one of the supporting business units under the Directorate of Business and Commercial Asset Management. The Soft launching was implemented at the Selasar of Andi Hakim Nasoetion Building, IPB Campus, Dramaga, on 10 April 2018.
Rector of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria, stated that the establishment of IPB Biz Travel & Tours is an effort to improve the ability and develop a business that can be adaptive to various conditions.
"This is the first step. There are steps to take to develop business. In the future we will develop a global business mindset and discover the potential of each Faculty in IPB. I also appeal to all Working Units in IPB to utilize the services of IPB Biz Travel & Tours for their transportation and accommodation businesses," he said.
The Director of Commercial Business and IPB Asset Management, Dr. Jaenal Effendi, S.Ag, M.A., stated that IPB Biz Travel & Tours was established to support the development of IPB business, one of them is the creation of value-added commercial assets of IPB-based expertise and resources through the development of technosociopreneurship.
"To face the era of industrial revolution 4, we open travel business that provides a variety of services to clients that include purchasing airline tickets, Passport Assistance Services (green and blue), and religious tourism. We also provide visa to more than 30 countries including England, Japan, Egypt, South Africa, USA, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and others," he said.
There are three branches of IPB Biz Travel & Tours, they are located in the Taman Koleksi (Takol Cafe), Campus IPB, Baranangsiang; 1st Floor of Andi Hakim Nasoetion Rectorate Building, and Stevia Building, both are in IPB Campus, Dramaga, Bogor.
Meanwhile, Vice Rector for Innovation, Business and Entrepreneurship, Prof. Dr. Erika Budiarti Laconi, appealed to all IPB residents to utilize the services offered by IPB Biz Travel & Tours. "IPB Biz Travel & Tours is purely owned by IPB and it is our dream to serve the commujites, particular IPB residents," she said. (Wied)
