P2SDM of LPPM of IPB Trained 46 Leaders of OPD of Bogor City

Human Resource Development Center (P2SDM) of Institute for Research and Community Services (LPPM) of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) in collaboration with Government of Bogor City organized  “Pelatihan Pengembangan Jati Diri dan Perubahan Pola Pikir Pejabat OPD Kota Bogor / Training on Self Development and Mindset Change of the Officer of OPD Bogor City”. The activity followed by 46 leaders of Organisasi Perangkat Daerah / Organization of the Region (OPD) in the Government of Bogor City was organized for three days (23-25/2) in Jeep Station Indonesia, Megamendung Resort, Bogor District.

The Head of P2SDM of LPPM of IPB, Prof.Dr. Pudji Muljono, said, this training was intended to improve the managerial capacity of the leaders of OPD of Bogor City 2017, so as to improve the performance of the institution and to increase the solidity of the leaders of OPD of Bogor City in the performance of the institution.

“Hopefully, this activity can be a concrete referring source for the City Government of Bogor. As the inspiration and the driving force in carrying out the mandate of the government. While for LPPM of IPB, this activity becomes the new learning source,” said Prof. Pudji.

The Head of LPPM of IPB, Dr. Prastowo, conveyed, the role of the leaders of OPD in supporting the success of the organization performance was extremely determined by the quality of the human resources. He said, the improvement of the quality of the human resource could be done in several ways, among others was through this training.

While, the Mayor of Bogor City, Dr. Bima Arya Sugiarto, in the briefing and the opening said that this training was one of the entry point in the change in the working relation, the communication pattern, and the institutional management for the leaders and the staff of OPD. According to him, all of these would affect the achievement of the work accomplishment of the institution.

“The leaders of OPD in establishing the identity should be with the thinking maturity capital and accept the change as a necessity in order to increase the productive performance in the work environment, so as to provide the positive influence to the duties as the public servants. This training is expected to be the leverage of the upgrading of the managerial capacity of the leaders of OPD in improving the performance of the institution he leads towards the achievement of the vision and mission of Bogor City 2015-2019,” explained the Mayor.
