Topic of the this present Talk was on "Menciptakan Keunggulan Bersaing Melalui Manajemen Rantai Pasok Creating Competitive Advantage Through Supply Chain Management".

On this occasion Dr. Eko explained on the supply chain management, as well as the status of the management and its ultimate destination on this process. He stated that the  supply chain management is the management of the flow of goods and services to consumers.

According to him, Supply chain management (SCM) represents an effort by suppliers to develop and implement supply chains that are as efficient and economical as possible. Supply chains cover everything from production, to product development, to the information systems needed to direct these undertakings for the satisfaction of customers. For  Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), the two constraints that they usually encounter are lack of economies of scale and poor networks among them. For example, in the case of the management of dairy farms in a certain area, they do not establish integrated networks among them.

The “Evening Talk” answers questions of listeners of RRI Pro 2 FM, one which was whether SMEs requires professionals consultants and research programs to run its business. "Of course, to be effective, efficient and satisfying customers SMEs must be assisted by a consultant," said Dr Eko (Wied)
