Jelajah IPB 2026 Offers High School Students a Campus Exploration Experience
Jelajah IPB 2026 (IPB Exploration 2026) is back. This annual open house invites high school students from across Indonesia to get a closer look at the campus environment, academic programs, facilities, and the academic life at IPB University.
Under the theme “Find Your Root, Next Stop Your Future”, this event is designed as a space for prospective students to explore and discover fields of study that align with their interests and future plans.
IPB University’s Acting Rector, Dr Heti Mulyati, stated that Jelajah IPB does more than simply give students the opportunity to tour the campus, it also helps them directly understand the nature of and make informed choices about academic fields.
“The theme Find Your Root, Next Stop Your Future” is more than just a motivational slogan. Through this event, students can find their direction and determine their own path by seeing the various facilities firsthand, interacting with faculty and students, and learning about the stories behind each academic program,” said Dr Heti during the opening of Jelajh IPB 2026 at Grha Widya Wisuda, Dramaga Campus, Bogor (9/19).
Dr Heti continued, explaining that IPB University has 14 faculties and schools covering a wide range of academic disciplines developed to address various national and global issues.
As a university focused on tropical science and agromaritime studies, IPB University offers programs in agriculture, biosciences, technology, economics, social sciences, and entrepreneurship.
Dr Heti also encouraged participants to make the most of their time on campus by exploring the various facilities and engaging in direct discussions with the academic community.
“Feel free to explore every corner of the campus, ask questions, and get to the root of things. Don’t hesitate to dream big, because IPB University is the starting point where those dreams can begin,” she said.
Meanwhile, Dr Alfian Helmi, Director of Strategic Partnership, Communication, and Marketing at IPB University, noted that Jelajah IPB 2026 was attended by nearly 1.500 participants from various regions across Indonesia.
“Participants came from the Greater Jakarta area, Sleman, Indramayu, Bandung, Central Java, and even East Java. We’d like to thank the teachers, chaperones, and all the participants who attended,” he said.
Dr Helmi emphasized that Jelajah IPB 2026 was designed to provide prospective students with direct and comprehensive information about the academic environment at IPB University.
According to him, the experience of visiting the campus in person is important so that participants do not rely solely on information obtained through social media or digital channels.
