IPB University managed to bring home 7 golds, 6 silvers, 9 bronzes and honorable 2 mentions in the event of the 36th National Student Science Week (Pimnas) in 2023. For this score, IPB University was named the second winner of this year’s Pimnas. The event took place on November 27th-30th at Padjajaran University, Bandung.

Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria expressed his appreciation for the struggle of students who had brought home a number of medals. He added, Pimnas is an event to increase the capacity and competence of students.

“Hopefully this acquisition will be an encouragement to achieve various achievements in other competitions in the future,” he said.

Pimnas is an annual national student competition organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). Pimnas is held as an event to increase student creativity in the development of science, technology and art (ipteks) and improve student competence in conveying their intellectual work.

Vice Chairman of the 36th Pimnas, Dr Budi Irawan, said that the winning teams were the best teams. They had to compete against a number of teams from other universities. “Of the 150 teams that entered, we selected 30 teams and selected nine teams,” said Dr Budi. (dh/Rz) (IAAS/NVA)
