IPB University Students Raise Funds 11,585.00 TRY for Turkey Earthquake Victims

IPB University students held an Action for Hope activity in the form of "Turkey Earthquake Donation Distribution" which took place in Istanbul, Turkey, (26/2). On this occasion, Ahmad Athouulloha Faiq (Chairman of the Student Executive Board/BEM of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology IPB University/Fateta) handed over the results of the donation to Syifa, one of the administrators of the Turkish Indonesian Student Association (PPI).
 
According to Syifa, PPI Turkey is very grateful to the donors and friends who have participated in mobilizing their assets and energy in this open donation activity. The total donations collected amounted to IDR 9,331,298.00 or the equivalent of 11,585.00 TRY and will be distributed in the form of logistics intended as a need to help victims affected by the Turkey earthquake.
 
Meanwhile, according to Ahmad, Action for Asa is a forum for concrete manifestations of donations held by BEM Fateta IPB University, especially the Department of Social and Environment, in helping victims affected by a disaster.
 
"In the Action for Asa activity this time, several student organizations and communities at IPB University participated in raising donations. Among them are BEM of the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical (SKHB), BEM of the Faculty of Animal Science (Fapet), BEM of the Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta), BEM of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM), as well as several associations in the FEM area to be able to raise donations in one channel," he explained.
 
Thus, he added, with collaborative steps between faculties in this open donation, it is hoped that the results of the donations obtained will be maximized and can provide more benefits for affected victims. (*/Zul)(IAAS/TNY)
