A total of 33 prospective pilgrims of the big family of IPB University will leave for the holy land in 2024. Located in the Auditorium Andi Hakim Nasution (AHN), Dramaga Campus, Rector of IPB University Prof Arif Satria officially released the prospective pilgrims, Monday (13/5).

In his speech, Rector of IPB University congratulated and prayed for the prospective pilgrims. “This is a very noble mission because Hajj is not an ordinary worship. This is a momentum for the internal journey, so we also appeal to all prospective pilgrims of IPB University when they arrive in Mecca, forget about work, let go of worldly things because the quality of the pilgrimage is very dependent on the intention,” said Prof Arif.

It is worthy of gratitude, IPB University again held a release event for prospective pilgrims. Starting the event, Director of Human Resources, Dr Heti Mulyati conveyed that the IPB University pilgrimage candidates in 2024 increased 45 percent compared to last year.

“If last year 23 people departed, thank God this year IPB University released 33 prospective pilgrims and of course along with their spouses. This activity has long been carried out by IPB University, but since the Covid-19 pandemic it has been stopped and only in 2023 we are doing this routine activity again,” she said.

Dr Heti also explained that this activity is one form of employee welfare that IPB University emphasizes. Today and in the future, IPB University not only focuses on financial aspects of well-being but also non-financial aspects including social aspects, including the release of prospective pilgrims.

Rector of IPB University also advised the prospective pilgrims to strengthen the non-physical aspects in addition to the physical aspects since departure until returning to the homeland.

“Departing for Hajj requires mental and spiritual preparation. We bring positive energy.
Strengthening the inner journey is a very influential and important thing for us because the mabrur indicator is seen when performing the Hajj,” he explained.

He also hopes that the prospective pilgrims will maintain their energy and health so that the Hajj process runs smoothly.

The release event also invited Prof Burhanuddin Masyud to provide knowledge to prospective pilgrims through tausiah about mabrur hajj. (Hera/Rz) (IAAS/PRP)
