More than 1,200 Rover and Senior Scouts Participants of National Raimuna XII Visit IPB University

A total of more than 1,200 members of the Rover Scouts (SMA / SMK / MA / Equivalent) and Pandega (age 16-25) participants of the National Raimuna XII Year 2023 participated in the Campus Bangkit program of the IPB University chapter. National Raimuna is an activity that brings together Rover and Senior Scouts from all over Indonesia.

This activity, which is carried out every five years, aims to strengthen brotherhood between tribes and cultures, increase the spirit of nationality, display the diversity of Indonesia and strengthen the sense of belonging between Scout members. National Raimuna XII carries the theme Build Our Generation (Bangkit). This year, a number of programs are presented such as Campus Bangkit, Internship Bangkit, Nusantara Culinary, Rumah Nusantara to meetings with inspirational figures. IPB University is one of the campuses selected for the Kampus Bangkit program.

“Kampus Bangkit activities are in the form of visits by national Raimuna participants to a number of schools that are the target of the activity. With this activity, participants are expected to gain knowledge, skills and information about the campuses visited,” said Riana Jeany Nurhasanah as Chairperson of the Racana Putri UKM Pramuka IPB University Council.

She elaborated, the IPB University Campus Bangkit chapter activities began with an introduction to the campus by the IPB University Ambassador. This campus introduction aims to introduce the IPB University campus environment to the participants of the XII National Raimuna. IPB University ambassadors also provide information about majors at IPB University, campus facilities, student organizations, academic and non-academic activities and campus culture.

The participants were then invited to a tour around IPB Dramaga Campus to witness firsthand the environment and atmosphere of the campus. Participants were divided into several groups and visited various places, such as IPB University Museum and Gallery, Teaching Animal Hospital (RSHP), Common Class Room (CCR), Agriculture and Technology Park (ATP), IPB University Library, Al Hurriyah Mosque and faculty buildings at IPB Dramaga Campus.

The activity which was attended by approximately 17,000 participants was officially opened by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Prof. Ma’ruf Amin at the Main Field of Campground and Tourism Graha (Buperta) Cibubur, East Jakarta (14/8). (*/Rz) (IAAS/NVA)
