IPB Cares for Orphans in 2023, Distributing 300 Million in 17 Villages in the Campus Ring Area

IPB University again held IPB Peduli for Orphans for 17 villages/sub-districts around the campus. The charity held in the Academic Senate Conference Room, Darmaga Campus of IPB, (17/4) invited several representatives of orphans from Babakan Village representing 1,040 orphans in the village around the campus. Each child received compensation of Rp 300,000 and gifts.

Vice Rector of IPB University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof drh Deni Noviana conveyed, IPB Cares for Orphans is not only a program of the Business Management Agency, Investment and Waqf (BP Biswaf), but the activities of all work units of IPB University. Moreover, this activity is part of the tri Dharma of higher education in the field of community service.

“Thank you to 446 donors, lecturers, educational staff, work units, alumni, subsidiaries of commercial business units (SUK), and also students for being donors in the IPB Care for Orphans activity,” he said.

On the same occasion, Vice Head of BP Biswaf for Investment and Waqf, Dr Alla Asmara said, this year’s IPB Peduli Santunan Anak Yatim activity was a collaboration between BP Biswaf and the Directorate of Agromaritime Community Development of IPB University.

“We have done a series of activities in the IPB Peduli Santunan Anak Yatim program, starting from coordination with the village to the formation of the committee and fundraising,” said Dr Alla who is also the Chairman of the IPB Peduli Santunan Yatim Committee.

In addition, he said the acquisition of compensation as of April 16, 2023, amounted to Rp313,356,544 from the compensation target of Rp300,000,000.

The recipients of donations came from 17 villages/sub-districts around the IPB campus consisting of Babakan Village, Cibanteng Village, Benteng Village, Neglasari Village, Ciherang Village, Sinar Sari Village, Petir Village, Sukadamai Village, Sukawening Village, Purwasari Village, Cihideung Ilir Village, Cihideung Udik Village, Cikarawang Village, Dramaga Village, Balumbangjaya Village, Margajaya Village, and Situgede Village.
