Dr Swastiko Priyambodo
Dr Swastiko Priyambodo, a lecturer at the Department of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, IPB University, is known as an expert in vertebrate pest management and plant pest science. A doctoral graduate of Georg-August Universität Göttingen, Germany, he actively researches ecological strategies for controlling rice field rats, including the use of barn owls (Tyto alba) as natural predators.
Through an integrated approach that combines biological control, the Trap Barrier System (TBS), and cultural practices, he promotes environmentally friendly solutions for sustainable agriculture. (IAAS/HRD)
