IPB University made an achievement as a university by winning the most proposal funding in the Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW) in 2024. P2MW is a funding grant program organized by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa), Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek).

P2MW became one of the programs that was welcomed by IPB University students. It was seen in the initial stage of registration of IPB Business Competition (IBC), there were 59 teams registered. They received coaching and proposal coaching with a team of supervising lecturers. From the total registrants, then filtered until the 20 best proposals were selected and registered to the national level on March (17/4).

After approximately two months of selection by Belmawa, 19 IPB University teams won funding with total funding reaching Rp328,760,000. With this, IPB University made an achievement as a university with the highest number of funded proposals.

As for the distribution of teams according to business categories, namely the Food and Beverage Category (2 teams), Cultivation Category (3 teams), Creative Industry Category (3 teams), Services and Trade Category (3 teams), Manufacturing and Applied Technology (3 teams), and Digital Business (5 teams).

Vice Rector of IPB University in the field of Education and Student Affairs, Prof Deni Noviana congratulated and prayed for the smooth running of all teams that succeeded in achieving funding.

At the Inaugural Meeting of P2MW Team Funded by Higher Education which was held at Satari Auditorium, IPB Dramaga, Bogor (4/5), Director of Student Affairs of IPB University, Dr Ujang Suwarna said that all delegates of this funded team will then get intensive coaching through coaching and monitoring with supervising lecturers.

In addition, they will also attend workshop classes that will present resource persons from both internal IPB University and external parties, to assistance from the Directorate of Student Affairs of IPB University and program facilitators.

Vice Chairman of the Business Management Agency, Investment, Sustainable Funds and Waqf (BP Biswaf) in the field of Business Management and Partnership of IPB University, Dr. Ahmad Yani said, the funding received at this time is expected to encourage students’ enthusiasm for entrepreneurship.

“There are many facilities from IPB University that can be utilized for student businesses. Please utilize them. Do not let after the funding is finished, the younger siblings’ business is also finished,” he said.

In this event, Dr Syaefudin (Assistant Director of Student Reputation and Achievement Development, Directorate of Student Affairs), lecturers and team supervisors were also present.
