IPB University Receives International Accreditation Visitation of Chemistry Undergraduate and Master Study Programs by RSC

IPB University received an International Accreditation visitation by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) in the Rector’s Conference Room, IPB Dramaga Campus on Thursday, 7/3. Study Programs (Prodi) that are internationally accredited are Bachelor of Chemistry and Master of Chemistry.

This RSC international accreditation brought three assessors including Prof Zanariah Binti Abdullah from Universiti Malaya, Malaysia, Prof Sandie Dann from Loughborough University, United Kingdom and Dr Alice Barker from RSC, United Kingdom.

Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs of IPB University, Prof Deni Noviana, said this meeting was proof of IPB University’s dedication to excellence, quality and global recognition. According to him, accreditation is an important milestone that sets and confirms high standards in various fields.

“Today, the presence of IPB University leaders underscores our strong commitment to providing outstanding services and education globally,” he said.

Prof Deni continued, this international accreditation objectively evaluates the feasibility practices of study programs so that they can meet globally recognized standards and this accreditation encourages increased innovation and institutional reputation.

“International accreditation also opens doors for collaboration, partnerships and growth opportunities, and can push us to higher levels of excellence,” he explained.

Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) IPB University, Dr Berry Juliandi expressed his gratitude for the leaders’ commitment to the excellence and quality of the Chemistry study program.

According to him, this meeting provided a comprehensive understanding of the policies, processes and other important aspects of international accreditation.

“We will continue to prioritize the transparency process, ensuring that IPB University continues to set benchmarks for quality and reputation. In general, RSC international accreditation assesses chemistry study programs based on output standards in accordance with the accreditation level,” he said.

Representative of the RSC assessor team, Prof Zanariah Binti Abdullah expressed his gratitude for the good welcome given by IPB University. According to him, accreditation involves a thorough evaluation of quality, standards and infrastructure to ensure excellence in program delivery.
