IPB University Held National Seminar on Research Results in 2023, Presenting 429 Research Titles

In an effort to disseminate the results of community research, the Directorate of Research and Innovation (DRI) of IPB University held a National Seminar on Research Results in 2023, (11-13/12). The activity was attended by researchers from various disciplines, not only from IPB University but also from other universities throughout Indonesia. A total of 429 research titles were presented by IPB University researchers and other universities to realize the agromaritime 5.0 agenda.

Prof drh Deni Noviana, Vice Rector of IPB University for Education and Student Affairs in his speech said, the national seminar was one of IPB University’s strategic steps to strengthen the collaboration of scientists in the field of agromaritime 5.0. This agenda also encouraged the realization of the country’s commitment to food sovereignty and community welfare, especially smallholder farmers.

“This meeting forum for scientists and users is expected to encourage cooperation between groups for innovative and quality research, and as a commitment of IPB University as a leading university in innovation,” he said.

Prof Ernan Rustiadi, Vice Rector of IPB University for Research, Innovation and Agromaritime Development reported that a total of 429 research titles presented had various themes, namely food, health, energy, maritime to social humanities.

“Thanks to the productivity of the performance of IPB University academics in research, IPB University’s Science and Technology Index (Sinta) score is the third highest in Indonesia,” he explained.

Prof Ernan added, the number of funding proposals by the Ministry of Education, Culture Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) was also the highest based on the ratio of research and lecturers. He hoped this event could facilitate scientists to exchange information to formulate collaboration strategies for strengthening agromaritime.

Director of Research and Innovation of IPB University, Prof Sugeng Heri Suseno explained that the research achievements of IPB University during 2023 were quite satisfactory. Research funding also increased from the previous year, from 91.6 billion to 95.1 billion. IPB University also achieved the highest Sinta score with a ratio of 1,519 lecturers.

“This achievement continues to be encouraged by IPB University through various events such as Innovation Expo and various research funding schemes and programs that will be implemented starting in 2024,” he said.

IPB University lecturers were also required to take advantage of funding opportunities and international cooperation for various research focuses. Currently, the Directorate of Research and Innovation of IPB University was also preparing an acceleration program for key performance indicators (KPI) 5 in accelerating copyright, DRI Focus and launching research guidelines in 2024. These programs were taken to continue to encourage IPB University’s performance in the field of research and innovation. (MW/Rz) (IAAS/SHY)
