IPB University students receiving the Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) College scholarship have demonstrated impressive academic achievements.

The average cumulative grade point average (GPA) of KIP College students was recorded at 3,34 in the fall semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, higher than the average GPA of IPB University students overall. This achievement demonstrates that economic constraints do not hinder students from achieving academic excellence.

To maintain the consistency of these achievements, IPB University, through the Directorate of Student Affairs, held the KIP College Student Evaluation for the Spring Semester of the 2025/2026 academic year at the Andi Hakim Nasoetion (AHN) Auditorium, IPB Dramaga Campus. This event served as a space for mentoring and capacity building for KIP Kuliah recipients.

Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs, Prof Deni Noviana, explained that this evaluation activity is essentially a form of mentoring to help students maintain their academic performance.

“While this meeting is titled evaluation, its true purpose is to provide guidance. IPB wants to ensure that every KIP College student possesses strong resilience in navigating the challenges of college life,” he said.

The Director of Student Affairs, Dr Akhmad Arifin Hadi, also encouraged students to make the most of their time at university by actively participating in student organizations.

“IPB KIP College students must be active, don’t just be ‘butterflies’ (class-home, class-home). Join organizations and participate in competitions because they will expand your network and foster connections. The benefits aren’t just felt now, but will extend into your post-university life,” he emphasized.

This event was attended by 170 KIP College recipients representing all KIP College recipients at IPB University. During the session, the Assistant Director of Student Welfare, Dr Yusalina, shared various information regarding the rights and obligations of KIP College recipients while also presenting the students’ academic achievements.

In addition to a high average GPA, 17 KIP College recipients achieved a perfect GPA of 4,00 in the fall semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. They are:

  1. Hania Rahmah
  2. Aura Nazwarunisa

He shared his experiences regarding time management strategies to help students maintain academic excellence while remaining active in student activities.

Through this event, IPB University hopes that KIP College scholarship recipients can continue to maintain their academic achievements while actively contributing to various campus activities. (*/Rz) (IAAS/HNY)
