Designing Environmental Care Applications for IPB University Students won 3rd place at the National Level

The role of students as agents of change is needed for the environment. Through its care for the environment, five IPB University students made an application called SaNor (Savior of Nature).

The five students were Alfiansyah Nur Zufa, Adila Lidinillah, Fanny Rifqi Al-Farizzi, M. Hafizh Maulana, and Sekar Ayu Ramadhan. They are students of the Vocational School of IPB University, Informatics Management study program. With this work, Adila and her friends managed to win the Champion 3 of the Innovative Technology Competition App Development in 2019, which was held at Padjadjaran University, Bandung (12/10).

"SaNa application is a mobile-based application with the aim of inviting the community as an environmental savior through donations and volunteering. Not only that, this application is also equipped with community features, challenges and events, "said Adila.

Adila admitted, the SaNa application was designed on the grounds of declining environmental conditions that could potentially threaten the survival of living things on earth.

The advantages of the SaNa application, continued Adila, are there are user interface designs that can be used by the public to monitor donations and volunteering activities. The range of conservation areas provided in this SaNa application is very broad, so that it can connect various environmental lovers communities to interact with each other. Another advantage is the user will get a reward in the form of points from each activity carried out. Later, the coins can be exchanged for merchandise, activity tickets, and other products from the SaNa application.

Going forward, Adila and her friends will improve application functionality through programming and databases and workspace updates that are more fun.
"We hope to be able to establish cooperation with the local department, entrepreneurs and communities engaged in the environmental field. Later, the SaNa application will be officially launched in the playstore so that people are more concerned and love the sustainability of their environment, "concluded Adila. (Ath / RA).
