IPB Students Win the National Splendor Debate Competition on Education
The passion to continue reaching achievement was unceasingly done by the students of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). This time, three students of IPB delegation won the second winner of the National Splendor Debate Competition on Education (SENADA) 2018 at all Indonesian universities level. This competition was held by the State Islamic University (UIN) of Gunung Djati Bandung, on 21-23 February.
IPB delegates in this debate competition consisted of Habibul Fuadi Hanif from Department of Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering, Apip Nurdin from Department of Biology, and Faradis Alfi Zain from Department of Forest Management. This competition is the annual agenda of the Student Council of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teaching Training of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. To win this educational debate competition, these three students must compete with teams from universities all over Indonesia.
The National Splendor Debate Competition on Education is quite strict. Starting from the elimination round to the semifinals, they were faced with teams from various Indonesian universities. After going through stage by stage, finally the team from IPB managed to pass to the final round and successfully became the second champion in this educational science debate competition.
"We are very enthusiastic in participating this competition. We are willing to go to Bandung from Bogor by motorcycle and get wet because of rain. Competing arguments about education increases our insight and winning this debate competition is a bonus," said Habib, one of IPB delegations for this competition. Bringing up the arguments and solutions in this contest became a challenge for them. (TK)
