 Photography was the art or the process of earning the image and the light on the film or it could be called the process of painting by using the light media.  But the main thing was how to explore the art of photography. Nowadays, the photography was not only a hobby but also a work. Of course, many people were starting to glance at the field of photography, including the marine academics.

Therefore, Student Association of Marine Science and Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), held the Underwater Photography Training on Friday (2/6) in the Function Room of ITK of FPIK. As the instructor was Ramadian Bachtiar, one of the alumni of the Marine Science and Technology who struggled the field of the Visual Maker. In the training, he taught the basic sciences that needed to be known and mastered by a photographer, he also conveyed the physical properties of the seawater that could affect the light in shooting underwater.

In this session, the participants were taught about “The Art of Seeing” namely the way we interpreted and took the meaning of every image we got. The participants were also instructed to take pictures using their respective phones, which were finally displayed and discussed what the meaning would be conveyed by the participants taking pictures and meanings captured by other participants.***
