As part of the 49th Anniversary of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Institute of Research and Community Services (LPPM) IPB and Ministry of Environment in the Student Executive Board (BEM) of Student Family (KM) of IPB held a Cleanliness Competition of RT (a smaller neighborhood) held in two bigger neighborhoods (RW 01 and RW 07) in the village of Babakan. Each RW consists of four RTs, so there were eight participants in this activity, which took place on 24 to 27 September 2012.
The assessment of this RT hygiene Competition was in two stages. The first was conducted before the RT residents did the voluntary work of cleaning for the competition. The second assessment was made after the voluntary work.

According to June Harbi (22), as Chief Executive, stated that, "The purpose of this activity is to motivate people to be able to keep environment."  June Harbi also hopes that it can be held regularly either monthly or quarterly. "I hope, on a regular basis, this will be a stimulus for the communities to be self-sufficient to keep their respective environments,” said Jun Harbi.

June Harbi said that the assessment of RT Cleanliness Competition is based on the condition of the home environment, alleys, major roads, sewers, beauty and environmental media (such as environmental messages) created by the rural communities. Each participant reaching the points above the standard of evaluation received the award of Adiwiyata Cup. In this activity, all of the neighborhoods (RTs) got the Adiwiyata Cups as they reached the points above the standard of the jury.

The competition was won by RT. 3 of RW. 7 in the Village of Babakan. All winners deserved to bring home the Adiwiyata Cups and receive development fund and subsidy for clean environment. The award was delivered at the ceremony on 30 September 2012 by the Director of Business and Partnership of IPB, Dr. Meika Syahbana Rusli to representatives from each village as an appreciation of keeping the environment clean.
