During a site visit to IPB University's land assets at the Sukamantri Experimental Garden, Bogor, Head of the Legal Bureau of IPB University, Widodo Bayu Ajie, SH saw hundreds of ornamental plant nurseries. There are approximately 170 ornamental plant nurseries fostered by the Tropical Horticulture Study Center (PKHT) of IPB University at the Sukamantri Experimental Garden.

The site visit was carried out by the Legal Bureau together with the Directorate of General and Infrastructure (DUI) of IPB University in the context of providing information to support public information disclosure for the community. The arrival of the team was received by the Chief of PKHT IPB University, Dr Awang Maharijaya.

According to Dr Awang, the land use in the Sukamantri Experimental Garden is used as an orchard and agro-tourism. The main commodities grown include bananas, longan, avocado and durian. “Besides that, the ornamental plant nursery business is also being developed around the garden. There are approximately 170 nurseries that we develop," he said.

"The Sukamantri Experimental Garden has an area of 392,150 m2 with proof of ownership in the form of Right to Use Certificate Number 1/Sukamantri on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia Cq the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia in 1996. The land use was given to the Faculty of Agriculture IPB University," said Assistant Director of Infrastructure Management and Asset Inventory, DUI IPB University Sulistiyono, SE, MSi.
