STP IPB University’s Startup Tenants Join Workshop on Business Incubation Program
In order to foster technology-based startup companies or startup companies that are competitive and superior, the Science and Technology Area Institute (LKST) IPB University held a Workshop on the Preparation of Output Targets and Action Plans for the 2023 Business Incubation Program. The event, which took place at the Startup Center Building of LKST IPB University, Taman Kencana Campus, was attended by tenant participants who passed the incubation program selection in 2023.
Vice Chairman of LKST IPB University in the field of Business Incubation and Industrial Partnership, Prof Rokhani Hasbullah reported, this year there were 27 tenants who passed the Business Incubation Program, 20 of which were engaged in the food sector.
“This activity aims to increase tenant business motivation and help them understand the substance and activity plan of the incubation program facilitation. This workshop on preparing output targets and action plans is one of a series of incubation programs and activities to help tenants achieve better business performance,” he said.
He also explained that startups / tenants who passed the selection will receive facilities in the form of assistance from LKST IPB University in the form of mentoring, coaching, training, exhibition and business matching according to the needs of tenants and startups.
Chairperson of LKST IPB University, Prof Erika B Laconi revealed that LKST IPB University’s support for the growth of startups / tenants will not stop. Science and education will continue to be provided for tenants so that their businesses can continue to develop and advance. Training will also be given to tenants for product and business development.
“Hopefully, the incubated startups/tenants can continue to grow and develop, so that they can produce products that have been equipped with distribution permits, have competitiveness and of course can benefit the community and nation. Startups/tenants that are fostered must also have a resilient spirit and never stop growing,” she concluded.
At the Workshop on Output Targets and Action Plan Preparation, in addition to an explanation of the incubation program, tenants were also given material related to business motivation and the preparation of Business Model Canvas (BMC) and Business Plan. Business Motivation was delivered by Indra Thamrin (CEO of Yourtea) with the theme Focus on Pursuing Vision and Business Opportunities. After that, tenants were explained about the Needs Assessment of Action Plan Preparation and Output Targets with the resource person Deva Primadia Almada, SPi, MSi who is the Assistant for Business Incubation of LKST IPB University.
Bagasa Prasetya (CEO of KUI) introduced BMC with the material title Explaining Business Ideas and Concepts Through Canvas Models. Finally, the material was closed with the preparation of a Business Plan: Make Sure Your Business is on the Right Track Through a Business Plan presented by Larasati W (CEO of Lokasoka).
