Thousands of General Competency Education Program (PPKU) Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) attended the dormitory Farewell Party (FP) as a form of separation after a year of being together in PPKU dormitory. This event was held in Graha Widya Wisuda (GWW) on Sunday, July 8th.

IPB Rector, Dr. Arif Satria was present at this farewell party. Dr. Arif conveyed several things as pieces of advice for IPB students to enhance their qualities after being in PPKU.

"You have exceeded the new term, one year in IPB and in the dormitory as a multicultural teaching and also as a learning place. Dormitory, with all its goodness, is expected to increase the quality of IPB students so they will be ready to be better in their respective departments and also in their post-campus life," said Rector.

During the first year in PPKU dormitory IPB, Rector hoped that every dormitory resident can become a more beneficial human being both individually and institutionally.

"What needs to be concerned is the footprint that we have left and the legacy that we have made, along with the goodness that we have given. Usually, we only think about goodness individually. Now it is time to think about institutional goodness, what we have done for this PPKU. Because the best of humans is the one that gives benefit for others," he said.

Dr. Arif also encouraged students to always be motivated to create achievements to enhance personal development and also institution development. Other than that, Rector also suggested that students utilize campus as a place to become prospective leaders.

Director of PPKU, Prof. Dr. Toni Bachtiar also gave messages to students to always learn, wherever they are.

"I quoted from someone. Sometimes what the university produces does not match what the workplace expects. Whatever department you chose, none will really equip you with all that needed in the future. When you enter the working world, you will still be given new training. The success that you get is also determined by the new things that you learn outside campus, and it depends on how good you can adapt," said Prof. Dr. Toni Bachtiar, S.Si, M.Si.

In this opportunity, also present were the representatives from faculties to welcome PPKU student to enter the faculty in a symbolic manner. The event was festive from the beginning until the peak of it, which was the deliverance of impressions and messages from the senior resident and the video playback of dormitory events in a year back.
