IPB University’s Graduate School Facilitates the Monev of Student Learning Tasks from the Balitbang of the Ministry of Agriculture
IPB University's Graduate School (SPs) facilitates the monitoring and evaluation (monev) activities of the Agricultural Instrument Standardization Agency (BSIP) and the Agricultural Research and Development Agency (Balitbang) of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) at the SPs Building, IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor (7/7).
The event was attended by Prof Agus Buono, Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs; Prof Titi Candra Sunarti, Vice Dean for Resources, Collaboration, and Development; SPs IPB University educational staff, and representatives from Balitbang Kementan, which consisted of Dr Haris Syahbuddin, the Secretary of BSIP, along with the students enrolled in the BSIP learning program, totaling 34 individuals.
"At the present moment, there has been some slight changes in the academic regulation. Which, for the most part, is regarding the scientific publications and graduation. SPs IPB University is currently developing the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) pathway, which is expected to enable students to graduate more quickly," said Prof Agus. He then further explained that the RPL pathway can be pursued by prospective students from Balitbang Kementan.
"Unlike the previous RPL, when applying students could submit RPL by providing a portfolio that will later be evaluated by a team, with a maximum recognized credit limit of 15 semester credit units (SKS) for the master's program and 12 SKS for the doctoral program, this RPL allows students to graduate quickly," he explained.
"Unlike the previous RPL, where students could submit a portfolio for evaluation by a team, with a maximum recognition of 15 semester credit units (SKS) for the master's program and 12 SKS for the doctoral program, thus with this RPL students are able to graduate faster," he added.
Meanwhile, Dr Haris Syahbuddin expressed his gratitude to IPB University's SPs for providing monev facility for students undertaking learning tasks from BSIP. Unquestionably, tt is of great concern to ensure that BSIP students can graduate quickly.
"The students undertaking learning tasks from BSIP at IPB University who are involved in this monev are students from the cohorts of 2018 to 2022. The total number of students from this period is 104, with 34 students currently ongoing," he stated. (HBL/Rz) (IAAS/ZRT)
