IPB University Receives International Accreditation Visitation for Four Study Programs by ASIIN

IPB University received an International Accreditation visitation by the Accreditation Agency for Degree Programs in Engineering, Computer Science, Natural Sciences and Mathematics (ASIIN) in the Auditorium of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Dramaga Campus of IPB, Bogor. IPB University study programs that are internationally accredited by ASIIN include Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine, Bachelor of Biology, Biochemistry and Veterinary Profession.

Vice Rector of IPB University in the field of Global Connectivity, Cooperation and Alumni, Prof Iskandar Z Siregar said that IPB University is always committed to expanding its reputation on a global scale. According to him, this commitment continues to be strengthened to build sustainable education ecosystem patterns, research programs and community service.

“Accreditation serves as an important milestone to set the standard and quality of higher education,” he said in his speech.

Prof Iskandar continued, IPB University ensures that it will comply with globally recognized standards and continue to provide the best service in the field of education, not only at the national level but also on an international scale. He said that this meeting would provide a comprehensive understanding of important policies, processes and practices in accordance with international accreditation standards.

“We believe that this international accreditation will open doors for more collaborations, partnerships, new opportunities, greater progress and create more impact in the years to come,” he said.

The representative of the ASIIN assessor team, Prof Ronald Ebbert, said that the quality of the study program could be determined by the formulation of study program objectives that were always relevant to tertiary institutions.

According to him, quality criteria for study programs can only be developed in relation to the impact of activities on society, the economy and the formulation of educational policies.
