The Directorate of Student Affairs and Career Development (DitmawaPK) IPB University held a generale stadium pre-graduation briefing at the Auditorium Building Andi Hakim Nasoetion Campus of IPB Dramaga (13/01). This activity is regularly held to prepare graduates of IPB University after graduation. The participants who were present were prospective graduates who would graduate on Wednesday.

Head of Career Development Sub Directorate, Handian Purwawangsa, SHut, MSi said that the pre-graduation debriefing activity is an effort to prepare graduates of IPB University to be better prepared in treading the post-campus world. He mentioned that the GPA or current value is no longer a major factor in achieving success, but rather honesty, discipline and support of a spouse.

In this debriefing activity, two IPB University alumni were invited who have succeeded in pursuing business in the world of agriculture and animal husbandry. The two IPB University alumni are Septian Jasiah Wijaya, the owner of BungQurban.com and Sutarjo, SP, Owner of the Farm Farmer Degree (STJ Farm).

The two alumni conveyed the challenges of entrepreneurship. Both have started entrepreneurship since college. "The main capital in doing business is confidence and dare to do things including making decisions. Initially I wanted to have a product with my own personal branding, but it was not easy, so I took several parties to produce a product. Some of the products produced are the result of collaboration with the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) mothers, "said Septian, an Alumni of the Vocational School of IPB University.

Meanwhile, Sutarjo described that the most important thing when starting an entrepreneurship was to take advantage of high opportunities. "Entrepreneurs should not be careless in taking strategies. The challenge for entrepreneurs is to take big risks. The scope of modern entrepreneurship is divided into agricultural products and services, such as fresh fruit products, fruit seeds, tabulampot, processed fruit, agroedutourism and agricultural training, "he explained.

According to him, personal branding and product branding are the criteria in running a business. In addition, the business plan that is compiled must also be mature such as advocacy, negotiation, and customer segmentation. (IAAS/NAS)
