IPB University Students Hold Three Simultaneous Victories in 2019 National Achievement Student Election
Safhira Alfarizi, Student of the Vocational School of IPB University won First Place in the National Achievement Student Selection 2019 Diploma Program and Mahtuf Ihsan Category, Students of the Faculty of Forestry, IPB University brought 2nd place for the Undergraduate Program category. In addition, Safhira was also selected as The Most Inspiring Student in this most prestigious national competition for Indonesian students.
Announcement of winners was delivered by the jury in the peak event of the 2019 National Achievement Student Selection at Swissbell Hotel, Bogor, (25/7) night.
For the first winner, the Bachelor Program category was won by University of Indonesia students and the 3rd winner was won by students from the November 10 Institute of Technology.
Meanwhile for the 2nd Winner the Diploma Program Category was won by the Surabaya State Electronic Polytechnic students. The 3rd winner was won by Universitas Brawijaya students.
Rector of IPB University, Dr. Arif Satria expressed his highest appreciation for the victory of the two IPB University students. Congratulations also the Chancellor conveyed to the winners from other universities. Through beautiful poem, the Rector of IPB University advised the selected students to be the best to remain humble. The Chancellor also advised outstanding students to continue to make new histories due to backwardness and ignorance not only because of illiteracy, but more because of the unwillingness to be involved in the historical process.
“Make new histories, create new footprints with creativity and leadership. Leadership is not a matter of position, but leadership is about influence. New history must be passed to provide added value and multiplier effects for the nation’s progress. Director of Student Affairs, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Dr. Didin Wahidin said that this year student achievement had increased. “This reflects the increasing quality of education in Indonesia. With increasing achievements, it should be grateful for the heart of speech and realization with real work, also to be utilized to the greatest benefit of the ummah. The best sons and daughters’ achievements should be a great contribution to make this nation equal other nations, “said Dr. Didin.
Judge Coordinator for the Diploma program category, Dr. Ilah Sailah conveyed, in general in scientific work, this year was far better than the previous year. “Student product demonstrations are also much more serious.
