HAYATI IPB, First and Only Life Science Journal in Indonesia that Entered the Q2 SJR

BIBLIOGRAPHY The Journal of Biosciences (HAYATI J Biosci) managed by the Indonesian Biology Association, Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, IPB University  (FMIPA IPB) succeeded in becoming the first and only national scientific journal included in the quartile category 2 (Q2) in the Scimago Journal Country and Rank (SJR) for the Agricultural and Biological Sciences fields.

This is reported on the scimagojr.com page. SJR is a portal that includes state journals and scientific indicators developed from information contained in the Scopus database (Elsevier B.V.). The indicators used by SJR can be used to assess and analyze scientific fields. This indicator shows the visibility of the journals contained in the Scopus database from 1996. The H-Index of Biological Journal in Scopus is currently 11, with the SJR value increasing from 0.196 to 0.31 and the number of sitas doubling.

Since its publication in 1994, HAYATI J Biosci has become one of the national scientific journals that has always been accredited by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti). In 2007, HAYATI J Biosci with its internationalisation program conducted online publishing using the Open Journal System (OJS) on the http://journal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/hayati page.

Since August 5, 2015 the official HAYATI J Biosci scientific journal website online on the Elsevier page has become the first and only journal published online by the leading publisher Elsevier. This IPB University journal has been listed on the Elsevier.com page and Elsevier’s Science Direct scientific article portal (http://www.journals.elsevier.com/hayati-journal-of-biosciences).

Thanks to this collaboration, HAYATI J Biosci managers, reviewers, writers and readers can use various facilities provided by Elsevier such as the Science Direct scientific article portal, EES / EVISE online script management system, membership in the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Then, use anti-plagiarismei-Thenticate software, long-term archiving in various international archive institutions, and optimization on the Google search engine.

Until now HAYATI J Biosci has been indexed in SCOPUS, ASEAN Citation Index, DOAJ, SINTA, National Library of Medicine, Crossref, ROAD, CABI, EBSCO, Publons, Scilit, Agricola, ProQuest and so on. (NR)
