College graduation is the beginning of real life challenges. The toughest challenge is how to get the job in accordance with passion. In addition, with the increasing number of job seekers, graduates of IPB University should have adequate ability to manage themselves and soft skills. The graduates must master a variety of skills such as, technology, Information Technology (IT), the field of communication by mastering the English language, time management, discipline, synergy and collaboration. 

This was conveyed by the Director of Student Affairs and Career Development IPB, Dr. Alim Setiawan in the Stadium Generael Graduation Pre Soemardi Sastrakusumah Auditorium Building, Dramaga Campus, Bogor, (25/4). According to him, IPB students should be better prepared to face the challenges in an era of disruption. 

"This is the era Volatile, Uncertainty, Complexity and ambiguity (VUCA) with increasingly volatile business environment, complex and increasing uncertainty. For the graduates of IPB must continue to hone and improve digital skills. The graduates should further develop themselves by improving emotional intelligence and abilities beyond the technical capabilities as well as academic, with more emphasis interpersonal skills, "he said. 

He added that the success or failure of the graduates in the face of the rapidly changing era, can be nimble and agile learning. There are some characters that should be improved which includes moral character, honesty, integrity and piety. Characters include the performance of discipline and responsibility. Character of competence, where the graduate should be able to think critically, high creativity and collaboration with other parties. And the last is literacy, all graduates should have an understanding of data literacy and technology literacy. 

"Hopefully the IPB graduates can continue to improve their capacity to compete in the world of work. Not having to rely on jobs, but began trying to create jobs. This indicates the contribution and active role in the world of agriculture to the nation's development, "he added. 

In the same occasion, attended the Human resourse Business Leed Mondelez Indonesia, Nadia Wahyuhardini as a resource. In her presentation, Nadia said that working in large companies is the dream of everyone, especially for those who have just graduated from college. Because with experience in large corporations is what will make them able to face the challenges of the real industry. Therefore we need measures that could facilitate entry into the business world.
