Concern of IPB Students to the Youth within Campus Circle
Children and adolescents living around the Dramaga Campus of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) joined the Birena’s Day at the Al Hurriyyah Mosque (1-2/12). In this event the participants were invited to make a dream mapping which was to plan dreams and how to actualize them, as well as to do the dauroh tarqiyah, the Qur'an memorization, tahajud prayer together and outbound in the form of traditional games.
"Birena’s Day is an annual agenda conducted by the Adolescent and Children Guidance (Birena) of IPB in the form of dauroh tarqiyah and outbound for children and adolescents around the campus of IPB. This event is free and coincides with the holidays after the semester final exams of elementary, middle and high school students so that it becomes a moment to refresh participants' minds after the exam. Birena itself is a structural institution under the Al Hurriyah Mosque of IPB that focuses on fostering children and adolescents around the circle of the IPB campus," said Idho Anugrah, Chief Executive of Birena’s Day who is also a student at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of IPB.
According to him, this activity aimed to form a generation that is Islamic, productive, and creative with useful and pleasant coaching. Idho hoped that by attending this activity participants can be a generation that will benefit many people later.
"The young generation is the golden generation who is the nation's successors for the future. However, there are many challenges that must be faced by the young generation today. Starting from the influence of social media, television and others. Many media provide bad examples that can weaken the faith and understanding of religion. Therefore, in Birena's Day they are nurtured to be able to face these challenges in order to have characters as a strong, productive and creative Muslim," he said. (LR/Zul/ZSP)
