IPB Vocational School Student Snatched Best Delegate Title in Singapore and Malaysia
Siti Haura Syahadani, a student of Informatics Management study program, Vocational School of Bogor Agricultural University (SV-IPB) got the ‘Best Delegate’ title in ‘International Youth Connect on Entrepreneurship’ program. This program, which adopted the theme ‘Digital Innovation and the Future of Digital Entrepreneurship’, was held on Singapore and Malaysia (4-6/11).
The title was given as a proof of trust from the judges for Haura’s potentials and and personal qualities to generate ideas and become great young entrepreneur and can give impact to glocal society.
“I presented three ideas during the pitching. The first one is puddle, which is a vegetable pudding that I formulated with two of my friends (Aliffannisa and Dinda), under the supervision of Mrs. Medhanita Dew Renanti, S.Kom, M.Kom. The raw materials we use 100% come from Indonesia. This pudding is made to reduce stunting case in Indonesia. This innovation got the Top 4 in national scale in a national business plan competition, ‘Olivia 3.0’ (Indonesia Vocational Olympiad), which was held in Unair. We also have vegetable yoghurt. The pudding and yoghurt have potentials to be sold in neighbouring countries, such as Singapore and Malaysia. Our other business ideas is to make real Indonesian caramel tea bag and an online shop business that I have been running since last vacation, which I named ‘carryyourneeds’ online shop and skin care buying service,” she said.
In that contest, the participants joined several programs. The first program is ‘World Economic Insight’. The participants had an opportunity to open up and expand their horizon by discovering socio-economic activities in various public places in Singapore and Malaysia.
The second program was called ‘Company Workshop’. In this program the participants visited several notorious companies, attended workshops and tours in those companies in Singapore and Malaysia with the CEOs. The companies visited were PIXAWORKS, Openminds Resources, MyCashOnline and Yakult Malaysia.
Lastly, they joined ‘Countries Exposures’, during which the participants were exposed to other learning method by visiting iconic monuments and famous atttractions in Singapore and Malaysia, as well as learning about the local cultures, economy, and day-to-day lives. (Ard)
