IPB Explores Cooperation to Manage Cipanas Presidential Palace

The delegation from the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) visited Cipanas Presidential Palace on Wednesday (10/31), in order to explore plans for cooperation in managing the palace, especially the landscape arrangement, maintenance of animals, parks and forests. Mustofa Alatas, Head of Cipanas Palace welcomed the group's arrival. "We hope to be able to cooperate with IPB including: the landscape arrangement of Cipanas Palace, its relation to the maintenance of animals and the management of the Palace forest," Mustofa said.

Also attending this event was Beginer Subhan, M.Sc, Head of Sub Directorate of Alumni Relations, Directorate of Alumni Cooperation and Relations of IPB, Dr. Ir. Nizar Nasrullah, MAgr (Lecturer at the Department of Landscape Architecture, Faculty of Agriculture, IPB), and Dr. Naresworo Nugroho, Lecturer in the Department of Forest Products, Faculty of Forestry, IPB. The IPB team was invited to tour the landscape, the forest, and several other facilities. "In the past when our students had practiced at the Cipanas Presidential Palace to see the condition of the wood in buildings in the palace. Things like this can also be done as one of the concrete forms of cooperation that will be established later, "said Dr. Naresworo.

 "This is the second visit from the IPB team by bringing a more diverse team. "The previous visit was conducted with a team from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH) in order to explore cooperation related to handling pets in the palace such as horses and poultry," Beginer said. (AVR)
