Achievement of Student Choir D’Voice Promotes IPB
Various achievement of Student Choir (PSM) D’Voice has promoted the name of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), especially Vocational School (SV). Rector of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria gave high appreciation on PSM D’Voice’s achievement SV IPB and welcomed very well the D’Voice invitation to record songs created by Rector of IPB. “I hope that the achievement of PSM D’Voice in the future will be more excelled,” said Rector of IPB at the banquet with management of SV IPB and members of PSM D’Voice, Sunday (10/11) at Roof Park Restaurant, Bogor.
eader of PSM D’Voice, Adisa Ramdhanty said PSM D’Voice was established 12 years ago. Along its journey, this PSM which becomes a pride of SV-IPB has engraved achievements both in national and international level. “Among those achievements are: 1) Winner of Folklore Category, Gold Prize for Mixed Choir Category and Special Award for The Authentic Interpretation of Folk Song in 29th International Choral Festival and Competition 2015, 2) Prague, Czechoslovakia, Gold Prize for Folklore Category and Silver Prize for Mixed Choir Category, 10th Anniversary of a Voyage of Songs, International Choral Festival 2013, 3) The 2nd Winner in Choral Festival XXXIII at Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) 2017 and 2nd Place Gold Medal for Mixed Choir Category dan 4th Place Gold Medal for Folklore Category, also was successfully included in the ranks of winners for the performance in Absolute Winner in Choral Festival Gita Buana Sudirman III Soedirman University (Unsoed) which just was held in October 2018,” explained Adisa.
In last September, under the coaching of SV-IPB Teaching Staff, Santianing Anggraini, SP, MM, PSM D’Voice also succeed organizing The Seventh Annual Concert titled “Gracia De La Voz” at Kartanegara Recital Hall, Jakarta. In that concert they sung the song “Mahasiswa” which is created by Rector of IPB.
On the same occasion, Dean of SV-IPB, Dr. Ir. Arief Daryanto, DipAgEc, M.Ec added that PSM D’Voice is the right students' organization for students whose talent in singing. “This organization aims to improve the singing skill possessed by students. By this PSM, we hope to increase promotion, achievement and reputation for the self of choir’s members, SV-IPB and IPB. So far D’Voice has engraved magnificent achievements.”
Furthermore Dr. Daryanto conveyed, “D’Voice's activities and other student clubs’ activities are very supported by us for its development. Through sport and art activities, students can practice their soft skills in creating work team that is persistent, courageous, sportsmanship, and audacious in taking decision and its risk”.
Other than that, through this kind of activities students can practice spirit of leadership and entrepreneurship. Also present in that meeting Vice Dean SV-IPB for Resources, Cooperation and Development of Vocational School IPB, Dr. Ir. Wawan Oktariza, MS. (qa)
