The Council of Professors of Legal Entities State Universities (MDGB PTNBH) realized that corruption in Indonesia had reached an alarming stage. On the other hand, PTNBH feels that it has great potential to contribute to eradicating corruption in Indonesia. This was conveyed by Prof. Dr. Ir. DS Priyarsono, Chairperson of Commission A Professor Council (DGB) of the Bogor Agricultural University in the Anti-Corruption Workshop of MDGB PTNBH at the Dramaga Campus of IPB, Bogor (23/9). According to him, the form of college contributions in the anti-corruption movement is to become an anti-corruption education center. This is because most corruption actors are graduates from universities.

"We will form a team of experts on call or an expert witness team. We will gather and support lecturers who are willing to become expert witnesses to concede justice in corruption cases. Why is this team needed, because there are many cases in court that require expert witnesses. Very few lecturers participate as expert witnesses for justice. The reason may be that there is no awareness that the position is important for justice, there is a feeling of worry over being terrorized by criminals and a lack of incentives," he said.

According to him, it must be admitted that universities have not been able to produce graduates with integrity. Still at the stage of producing graduates who master science, not to the behavior or attitudes of anti-corruption.

"Therefore we need to be introspective. Actually, it starts from basic level education how to not cheat. That hasn't been entirely successful. Thus, if efforts from universities, God willing, will be effective in combating corruption. We believe that higher education can be a study center or research center to formulate steps and strategies to eradicate corruption. As a form of community service, universities must become a symbol of the national anti-corruption movement," he said.

Currently there are several universities that are very advanced in anti-corruption education, but there are also some who have not started yet. Of the many universities, those who have started are Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Airlangga University (Airlangga University) and Paramadina University.

"Private universities turned out to be more progressive in incorporating anti-corruption education, this became an introspection for us (PTN) which turned out not to be as advanced as it should be. We will work hard, we gather lecturers to think together about the form of lectures, lectures or other effective methods. Some become compulsory lectures at several universities, some are selected courses, some are given in the form of lectures or film screenings. Many variations of anti-corruption learning methods. We want to formulate which method is suitable," he added. (RYS)
