Central Connecticut University's research results for "Most Littered Nation in the World" placed Indonesia as a country with a very low literacy interest in rank 60 of 61 countries surveyed. This study includes reading, writing, and interest in knowledge, as well as the provision of facilities and infrastructure.

The low interest of the nation's literacy shows the lack of internalization of the literacy itself. Though reading and writing is a provision to get knowledge that later can be practiced to improve this nation. Inculcating interest for writing and reading ideally is done as early as possible.

The role of literacy in advancing the quality of human resources in a country can be through a mother. Mother is a generation creator of the nation that determines the quality of her children. Therefore, five students from the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) create solutions as well as innovations related to this issue.

They are Aliya Nurarifa Saadah (Department of Community Nutrition), Sarah Vaisala Trimulyani (Department of Economics), Vidian Imam Nurfadilah (Department of Community Nutrition), Hanin Khalisharani (Department of Family and Consumer Science), also Novan Aji Imron (Department of Communication and Community Development ).

All five of them make "Diary Mommycomb 1000 Days of My Child: Media Monitor Child Growth as Literacy Interest Improvement Effort in Mother" Their activity become one of Program Creativity Student of Community Service (PKM-M) 2018 which get funding from Ministry of Research, Technology and Education High (Kemenristekdikti) RI.

Making this diary become part of the activities of Mommycomb Mother School. Mommycomb's School Program is held at Posyandu Flamboyan, Babakan Doneng, Dramaga Bogor. This school consists of four classes of materials namely Nutrition and Health Class, Nursing Class, Family Management Class, and Creative Class.

The outcome of this program is to prepare the mother to be a qualified mother especially in the first 1,000 days of the child's life. "The first thousand days of a child's life is a golden age that determines the future of the child. Mother played an important role in this period. Mother's condition should not only be physically, but also psychic. One of the good habits that can be familiarized is writing," said Aliya as Team Leader.

According to Aliya, when mothers write down their experiences during child rearing, a mother not only gets self-healing through her writing, but the writing can also be a memento for the family, especially when her child grows up. Through this program, Mommycomb's team strives to familiarize mothers with increasing literacy through writing diaries, reading good books, increasing knowledge especially in child care and family management, and familiarizing things for both mother and child.

Aliya hopes that the products and programs of PKM-M can be adopted and implemented to the general public, thus becoming a solution to the problem of low literacy of this country as well as innovation in monitoring the growth and development of children. (RYS)
