IPB Student wins National Government Debate Competition

Trying to obtain their critical thinking skill about government policies and national issues, 2 teams from IPB succeed to obtain the 2nd Runner up and best speaker Government Debate Competition in the national level.

This debate is one of the series of events from International Government Conferences (IGC) 2018 held by Institue of Domestic Governance (IPDN) North Sulawesi Campus (3-8 April). This event brings up the theme of “Engaging The Spirit of Youth Towards SGD’s 2030” as a form of strenghtening youth's commitment in sustainable development.

Team from IPB that succeed to be the 2nd Runner up are  Cepty Rohmawati, Dedy Iskandar, dan Nova Kushandita. The others are consist of Apip Nurdin, Faradis Alfi Zain, dan M. Labib Naufaldi, broke to the top 4. Moreover, Apip Nurdin ( A student from the Biology Department ) chosen as the best speaker of this event.

To achieve such things is not something easy,  they also win over students and servant from various region.

"It's grateful and unexpected to win this prestigious competition. We get stronger from practices and support from our surrounding. Thanks to god, for giving us opportunity to take the 2nd runner up place" said Cepty.

According to Cepty, the motions are interesting, it challenge us to analyze government's policy and see current national issues.(JZ)
