IPB Student grabs 1st and 2nd winner on Industrial Engineering Debate Competition
Competition is a form of challenge for student to explore their skill and interest. Sportivity and collaboration are needed to win a competition. This time, delegates from IPB participated on Industrial Engineering Debate Competition (IIDC) 2018 and get a proud result. Delegates were able to get the 1st and 2nd position that held by Medan Area University, mid april.
Delegates from IPB consist of 2 teams. The first team are Zulfa Fauziah (A student from Department of Management), Aditya Hadid Riyadi ( A student from department of sharia economy), and Ghazaly Imam Negoro (A student from Department of Sharia Economy). The second team are Usman Abdul Muluk (A student from Department of Economy and Environmental Resources), Muftiah A. Mutmainah (A student from Machine and Biosystem Engineering) and Apip Nurdin (A student from Department of Biology). To win this they compete with student from various region.
"Thank god we could join a competition outside of java land. The competition was tight, especially in the final, Its a civil war (IPB vs IPB). We lose with a very close margin, only 0.2 point. That's unexpected, but we are proud to bring our almamater's name" said Usman, one of IIDC delegates.
This marketing debate was competitive. Start from preliminary round to semifinal round, they are against student from marketing.
Expressing arguments and solution in a competition is a challenge for themselves. Zulfa added that the motions are interesting and require us to see from wider perspectives.
" the most interesting round is the grandfinal round because it's IPB vs IPB. We hope that IPB students could improve their mentality to be outstanding with their own potentials" said Zulfa (JZ)
