IncuBie IPB Passes the Selection of Institutional Development Program of Technology Business Incubator

Incubator Center for Entrepreneurship Business and Development (IncuBie) of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), which is an incubator institution of state-owned enterprises (PTN-BH), passed the selection of the Institutional Development Program of Technology Business Incubator (IBT) in 2018.

For that, kick-off meeting and Concept Training Business Technology Incubator (IBT) were held to sign the Cooperation Agreement at Novotel Hotel Surabaya (23/5). Present t the kick-off meeting was the General Director of Institutional Science and Technology (Iptek Dikti), Dr. Ir. Patdono Suwignjo, M.Eng.Sc, Regional Director of Science and Technology and Other Supporting Institution, Dr. Ir. Lukito Hasta P, M.Sc., Chairman of Indonesian Business Incubator Association, Asril F. Syamas, M.Sc., Head of Universities, and participant of IBT Concept Training.

This training was attended by 25 IBT public and private universities and 5 Science Technology Park (STP). In the event, Prof. Hadi K. Purwadaria (founder of Business Incubator Center of IPB) and Deva Primadia Almada, SPi.MSi as the representative of AIBI present as trainer. From IPB, Dr. Ir. Rokhani Hasbullah, M.Si. as the Head of incuBie presents to symbolically signed a cooperation agreement with Directorate General of Science and Technology Dikti.

This incubator institute development program aims to strengthen the IBT institution in carrying out its main tasks with the function to support the development of Science Technology Park (STP). In support of the research’ downstream at universities, the Ministry of Research and Technology (Kemenristekdikti) has initiated various programs. Among them are the development of Science and Technology Park (STP), the creation of Technology-Based Beginner Entrepreneurs (PPBT), as well as the development of technology transfer units and business incubation.

In his speech, the General Director conveyed the message that the services to be provided by the incubator to the tenants include assistance in formulating business plans including business model, strategic plan, manufacturing plan and marketing plan, capital facilitation, networking and internationalization services.

"In order to produce a successful tenant, a good incubator must make a careful assessment to accept prospective ones. Tenant success indicator is if its market share grows and develops," he explained.

This year Directorate General of Iptek Dikti KemenristekDikti Facilitates eight Institutions Incubator PTN-BH namely IPB, UI, ITB, UNPAD, UNHAS, UNDIP, ITS and UGM. Assistance in the program is used to conduct business matching and international certified incubator training organized by the National Business Incubation Association (NBIA).

Head of InCubie IPB, Dr. Rokhani, stated that the Program for Strengthening Institute for Business Technology Incubator (LIBT) 2018 is the second year (continued) for IncuBie IPB. In the previous year's LIBT program the activities undertaken by IncuBie included the preparation of business plans, incubation operational SOP, business model, action plan incubator, business matching, and international training.

last year through the LIBT program, Rokhani and Fikri Azali Faisal Syaf, ST have attended training at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) Taiwan. The training topic is about "Technology Transfer and Business Incubation" which includes "Intelectual Property Right Management". (Flw)
