Eight Students of IPB Granted Aktivis Nusantara Scholarship

Eight students of Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) succeeded to become the beneficiaries of Aktivis Nusantara Scholarship (Bakti Nusa) batch 8 of regional Bogor. They are among 64 student activists from 18 State Universities (PTN) throughout Indonesia who received the scholarship from Dompet Dhuafa Pendidikan.

The eight students are Surya Bagus Mahardika (Department of Forest Management 2014), M. Alif Ramahurmuzi (Department of Economics Science 2015), Ilham Maulidin (Department of Agroindustrial Technology 2015), Suci Hermita (Department of Biochemistry 2015), Soffi Lutfia Dewi Trizana (Department of Physics 2015 ), Annisa Zikriatin Nafilah (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine 2015), Fajriyah Nidaa’ul Husna (Department of Food Science and Technology 2014), and Suciyati Martinea (Department of Family and Consumer Sciences 2014).

They were selected to be beneficiaries of Bakti Nusa through various selection mechanisms. Starting from file selection, focus group discussion (FGD), interview, until public test involving campus mass.

Selection series of Bakti Nusa paid attention to various aspects such as achievements and contributions in the activities of student organizations. Surya Bagus Mahardika currently serves as Vice President of Student Executive Board (BEM KM) IPB. Suciyati Martinea is also active in BEM KM IPB as general treasurer. In addition, she is also a teacher in Pondok Qur’an. Ilham Maulidin is the Head of Student Achievement Department for FORCES IPB and student exchange student at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan, later in October. In addition to Ilham, Suci Hermita is also active in FORCES IPB as general secretary. Annisa Zikriatin Nafilah is currently active as a Senior Resident Dormitory of IPB’s General Competency Education Program (PPKU) and is an Outstanding Student II of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of IPB. Fajriyah Nidaa’ul Husna is active in Forum Indonesia Muda (FIM) and is trusted to be the Chairman of FIM Regional Bogor. Soffi Lutfia Dewi Trizana is active as a volunteer at Forum Indonesia Muda (FIM) Hore Bogor. As for M. Alif Ramahurmuzi, he currently acting as Vice Chairman of External IPB Economic Student Association.

“Bakti Nusa present as a leadership development program for student activists to form leaders who have character, competent, and able to contribute in society for the realization of a powerful Indonesia. Bakti Nusa’s goal is to form leaders who have integrity, intellectual, transformative, with serving attitude,” said Ach. Firman Wahyudi, as the Manager of Bhakti Nusa Bogor region.

As the beneficiaries of Bakti Nusa, the eight IPB students will be selected to participate in various leadership development activities in national, regional and individual levels. One of the national-scale activities that followed was the Future Leader Camp (FLC) which held on 3-6 May 2018 in Solo. FLC is a program orientation activity and signing a scholarship agreement. FLC activities become a means of reaping inspiration from national figures from various fields as well as a forum to build a network of national activists. (RYS)
