1000 Students of IPB Ready to Win Ramadan with Quran
Coinciding with the coming of Holy month of Ramadan, Bogor Agricultural University Competency Education Program (PPKU) held a Studium Generale General Elementary Course of Islamic Education (PAI) entitled "Ramadan Juara, Prestasiku Mendunia". This event was held at Graha Widya Graduation Campus IPB Dramaga, Saturday (19/05) and attended by more than 1000 students.
"Alhamdulillah Studium Generale was implemented during the holy month of Ramadan. At the momentum of this fasting month we invite everyone to be a successful person and righteous. Insya Allah, all students here can take advantage of the material given as a provision to become successful people in the month of Ramadan," explained Drs. Romly, M.Ag as the General Elementary Subject Coordinator of PAI.
The series of events has been started since April which begins the competition for all students who take the PAI courses in this semester. The contest includes nasyid competitions, calligraphy, Islamic vidgram, poetry creation, inspirational story, and Islamic poster. In this studium generale there is also an awarding to the winners in each branch of the competition.
Studium Generale invitee speaker, Prof. Didin Hafidhuddin delivered the material about the momentum of the rise of Islamic civilization. "Ramadan is the month of achievement for individuals and groups. Many great figures who make the month of Ramadan as the achievement of great accomplishment. For example Buya Hamka and Imam Nawawi Al-Badri who completed their masterpiece in the month of Ramadan. We have to put on the mindset that Ramadan is the month of achievement not the month of sleep. We must change our habits to interact more with the Quran and other supporting books. Because building this nation and country is our task that begins with getting achievements," said Prof. Didin.
The next session was a talk show with two prominent figures with Quran, namely Rifdah Farnidah (1st Winner of MHQ International) and Luqni Maulana Hidayat (Chairman of LPQ Al-Hurriyyah). In the seminar, every speaker delivered tips and tricks to interact and achieve with Quran.
"My motivation to memorize is to make my parents happy. To achieve this stage of achievement, we must be able to know ourselves, no need to be someone else to succeed because 99 percent of success is determined by willingness, hard work, effective effort and accompanied by our closeness to God and parent’s prayer. The first memorization requirement is to straighten the intention only for Allah, improve the reading of Quran, then istiqomah with the method we choose," explained Rifda.
Meanwhile, Luqni said that students who want to learn Quran can follow tahsin program through Quran teaching institution in Masjid Al-Hurriyyah. "People who learn Quran then teach it is the best man according to the hadith of the Prophet SAW. Although as a student has a lot of academic activities, organizations, and so on, but we still have to take the time to learn and memorize Quran. It takes struggle and process to love Quran. Therefore we provide Quran teaching program for students who want to learn Quran," Luqni explained. (RYS)
