MIPAnet Formed LAMSAMA for the Accreditation of the Study Program of Natural and Formal Sciences
Secretary General of MIPAnet, Dr.Ir. Sri Nurdiati, M.Sc. who was also the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Bogor Agricultural University (FMIPA IPB) hosted the MIPAnet Working Meeting in IPB International Convention Center (IICC), Saturday (31/3).
This event was opened by the Rector of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria, SP, M.Si. In his speech, the Rector of IPB said that the results of the Working Meeting would determine the future of the accreditation of the study program of MIPA, mainly related to the emergence of the industrial revolution of 4.0. The Working Meeting held by the Secretary General of MIPAnet, Dr.Ir. Sri Nurdiati, M.Sc. together with the Executive Secretary of MIPAnet, Prof. Warsito, S.Si., DEA, PhD was attended by 48 Deans or Deputy Deans of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) / the Faculty of Science Technology (FST) / the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) / the Faculty of Administrative Sciences University of Indonesia (FIA) / the Faculty of Mathematics, Computing and Data Science (FMKSD) / the Faculty of Mathematical Science (FSM) from all over Indonesia.
Agenda of the Working Meeting on the theme of ‘LAMSAMA and Akreditasi Program Studi / LAMSAMA and Accreditation of Study Program’ was packed in three sessions of the activities, namely: the exposure and discussion of the development of the establishment of the Independent Accreditation Institution for Natural Science and Science of ForMAI (LAMSAMA), the exposure and discussion of the current condition of the study program and accreditation, and the formulation of the outcome of the meeting. In the first session, the Executive Secretary of MIPAnet, Prof. Warsito, S.Si., DEA, PhD explained the establishment development of LAMSAMA since its establishment until its current development.
Prof. Warsito affirmed that as per the mandate of the law, then the accreditation of the study program would be conducted by the Independent Accreditation Institution (LAM), while the accreditation of the university would be conducted by BAN PT. “Given the enormous differences among the study programs under MIPAnet, then LAMSAMA should be able to accommodate these differences in making the policies related to the funding and instrument forms,” said Prof. Warsito.
In the second session, the Secretary General of MIPAnet, Dr.Ir. Sri Nurdiati, M.Sc., presented the survey result related to the condition of the accreditation of the study program in each university hoped for the existence of LAMSAMA. The results of the exposure and discussion in the first and second sessions were then formulated in the last session and made a decision of Working Meeting as the input for the decision makers, in order to create a policy that was more supportive for the growth and development of the basic sciences in Indonesia.
