Again, Rector of IPB Inaugurated 38 New Officials
Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) again inaugurated 38 new officials in the environment, located at the Auditorium of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science (FMIPA), Campus of IPB, Dramaga Bogor, Monday (2/4). Rector of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria, asked the officials who were inaugurated today to fulfill their mandates responsibly to meet ‘IPB Masa Depan / IPB of the Future’.
“Completed the mandate with the optimism and the passion for IPB to remain a proud educational institution with various contributions to the progress of the nation as well as the world civilization,” he said.
According to him, there were some agenda of IPB that should be completed some time to come. Namely, the formulation of the strategic plan of IPB in 2018-2023, the accreditation and structuring of the study program, the establishment of the School of Business and the preparation of the School of Vocation, the implementation of the performance management system, the development of a fair service reward system, the procurement of the laboratory equipment education and research and the application of the Green Transportation, the strengthening the cooperation network, the strengthening the spirit of entrepreneurship, as well as the development of the international program.
Other than that, another challenge was the status of IPB as the University of Legal Entity (PTNBH) with 10 other PTNBH. IPB was required to be the best institution with the restriction that not all could be adapted quickly.
“The resilience of IPB in addressing the iterative policy is needed so as not to suffer in responding to the changes. The adaptation to the nomenclature of the study program, the staff allocation mechanism in each study program, the accreditation relevance, the personnel management and the State Civil Apparatus (ASN), the financial governance, the World University Ranking (WUR), the innovation implementation of IPB, the strengthening and acceleration of the integrated information system, the integrated management system, the entrepreneurship development, and the strengthening of the socio-entrepreneurship must be our priority in the future,” he explained.
At the end of his speech, Dr. Arif hoped that these new officials could be the role models for all, seriously to carry out the duties and functions of organizing the management of the institution; to foster the good relationshop and cooperation on all staff, superiors, subordinates, and with partners; and to develop the independent, creative, responsible and dedicated work culture.
“The final test of a leader is to pass on to the people he leads to have the confidence and the will to move on. Let’s make it happen that IPB to be the leading university for the progress of the nation and the state,” he said. (Awl/Zul)
