Inauguration of Prime Officials in the Era of the New Rector of IPB

Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) again inaugurated 11 officials in IPB. The inauguration ceremony was held at the Lobby of Andi Hakim Nasoetion Building, Campus of IPB Dramaga, Bogor (11/1). The inauguration of these officials was intended to avoid the potential stagnation and operational gaps in the execution of public duties and services in order to keep going, especially those related to the duties and functions of each unit. The inauguration of these officials was also part of the organizational life in order to strengthen and improve the institutional capacity, as well as to be part of the employee career development.

Rector of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria, expressed the congratulation and success to the inaugurated for the achievements that had been achieved and the dedication given to IPB so far. According to the Rector, the position held was a mandate that should be fulfilled with the full responsibility to welcome “IPB Masa Depan / Future of IPB” with optimism and full of spirit. “In order for IPB to remain the proud educational institution with various contributions to the progress of the nation as well as the civilization of the world,” said the Rector.

The Rector said that the long-term plan of IPB (RJP-IPB) 2019-2045 had confirmed that IPB became the Techno-Socio-Entrepreneurial University. Then the contribution and the role of IPB in the future would be more demanded in the empowerment of the community / nation of Indonesia, by staying focused on the superior quality education for all, the superior and leading research, and being able to be the solution of the nation’s problems. “Thus, it must be imbued with the spirit of strengthening the university dignity as the pillar of the strength of the scientific and moral integrity and the pillar of the independence to always spread the good, continuing to fight for the truth and justice. Therefore, the campus is not enough just with the technocratic intelligence, but also the intellectual intelligence and the high sensitivity of the heart,“ said the Rector.

The Rector added, in the future, IPB should be able to play the contemporary roles that always held fast to the vision and mission of IPB with the strategic and concrete steps. “I hope we all can work together to implement the steps reflected in the 5 (five) milestones of the achievements of IPB, namely the excellent innovation ecosystem, the engaged and competent human capital, the excellent innovation, the enriched and empowered society, and the local-global interconnectivity. The results that have been achieved are the results of the joint work that will continue to be built in order to produce the optimum,” he added.

To the newly appointed officials, the Rector said that seriously we should carry out the duties and functions of organizing the management of the work units, and foster the good relationships and cooperations between the fellow staff, the superiors, the subordinates, and with the partners. All should build the work culture that was more independent, creative, responsible, and dedicated, so that IPB became more advanced. (Awl)
