A group of IPB students of Won the National Essay Competition Through “Wirakoperasi Syariah”
A group of students of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) successfully won 1st Winner of Best Essay in Sharia Business Solution (Session) 2017, which was organized by Shariah Economics Forum (SEF), of the Faculty of Economics and Business, of Universitas Gadjah Mada. The group consists of Muhammad Syamil Hizbi (the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture), Aditya Hadid Riyadi (the Department of Sharia Economics), and Aliyatul Husna (the Department of Sharia Economics). This prestigious event was carried out for 3 days, on 19-21 October 2017. The event was officially closed by Awards Presentation Evening 2017, in the last day of the event.
Hizbi, Adit, and Husna collaborated to express their ideas into an essay on "Wirakoperasi Syariah Tunggularum: Upaya Peningkatan Kesejahteraan Kelompok Tani Salak di Desa Wisata Tunggularum = Wirakoperasi Syariah Tunggularum: Efforts to Improve the Welfare of Salak Farmers Group in Tunggularum Tourism Village".
"For this competition we proposed the idea of syariah wirakoperasi that is addressed to Tunggularum Village Village, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta. Essentially Wirakoperasi is a forum to organize farmers in developing their superior commodity. Our idea has utilized a profit sharing system according to the Islamic Shari'ah with the musyarakah contract, "said Adit.
Wirakoperasi system in Tunggularum Tourism Village will integrate the upstream, downstream and supporting elements to affect the welfare of farmers. "The implementation of syariah wirakoperasi will have an impact on the increase of commodity-added value. We initiated a zero waste system or no one wasted so as to increase farmers' income by more than doubling, "Hizbi added.
In the Session 2017, problem on the implementation and management of Tunggularum Village Village in Sleman Yogyakarta were offered to the participants. Participants were then requested to present their ideas at the conference. In addition, this event also organized challenge to promote halal lifestyle.
