IPB Students Provided Community Services for Communities Around Campus, Kampung Rawajaha

Taman Pendidikan Alquran (TPA the Quran Educational Institute) program at Baiturrahim Mosque, Rawajaha, CIFOR, was officially opened on 21 September 2017 coincided with the 1st Muharam 1439 H. The TPA activity was participated by 50 santri (Indonesian term for a student of Islam). Students follow guidance with the program Bina Baca Quran (BBQ), Tahsin – Tahfidz, character building / morals and arts and culture of islami.

The santris will be nurtured by students and alumni of the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), some of whom have memorized the 30 juz  of Qur’an. Member of the  group are Zaki Abdullah (Sharia Economics 50), Muhammad Fadlil Azhim, Muhammaf Arif Ilyanto, Ibrahim Khalilurrahman (Syariah Economics 53), Ahmad Taqy Raihan (SKPM 53), Ahmad Syauqi (MTK 53), Maliki Saputra (AGH 53), Munadia Fitri , Farah Mutia Rahmah (ITP 53), Ikrari Karina Ati (IKK 53) and Sani Ramadhanti Noor (AGB 53).

Such program has been implemented by group of students of IPB as part of their community service for improving the well-being of children, through the quality education for children's at an early age. The aims of such program is provide equal quality education opportunity for the communities, and to reduce the widening achievement gap between affluent and low-income communities around IPB campus. Quality of education from an early age will nurture good character. This service is the dedication of  IPB students for the nation, by Quran’s good character building.

The opening ceremony was attended by a number of community leaders, among others were Chairman of DKM Baiturrahim Mosque, Sugianto; Chairman of RW 03 H. Subadi; Imam Masjid Baiturrahim Ust. Hubzi; and Chairman of Yassiru Foundation who is also the faculty member of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Bogor Agricultural University (FEM IPB), Ust. Khalifah Mohammed Ali. This activity was well-implemented due to the cooperation of DKM Baiturrahim Mosque, Yassiru Foundation, and LAZIS PLN PERSERO. (Wied)
