IPB Hosted the International Conference MICEMA
Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) was elected to the host of "18th Malaysia International Conference on Economics, Management and Accounting (MICEMA)". The event was implemented on 4-5 October 2017, at IPB International Convention Center (IICC) Bogor. The theme of the scientific meeting was on "Towards Economic Stability and Sustainability: Economics, Management and Accounting Perspectives". The event was officially opened by Vice Rector for Research and Cooperation of IPB, Prof. Dr. Anas Miftah Fauzi.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee who is also the faculty member of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Bogor Agricultural University (FEM IPB), Dr. Tony Irawan, stated that event was organized to provide opportunity for students and faculty members to share their experiences and development of economics, management and accounting. Unlike previous MICEMA events, the present topics is related to the sustainability and economic stability which are seen from three perspectives: economics, management and accounting, and during which 96 papers werre discussed.
This scientific meeting was the jointed event between FEM IPB and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Putera Malaysia, Directorate of Agricultural Strategic and Policy Studies (KSKP) of IPB, and West Region Cooperation Agency (BKS-PTN). Participants of the meeting were from 20 universities in Indonesia, especially from Western State Universities including Bengkulu, Jambi, North Sumatra, Padjadjaran University, and Tanjung Pura University.
Dr. Tony hopes that this event will become a vehicle for students to establish networks, and on this special event 15 best papers will be selected to publish in the Scopus Indexed Journals. "This is also an effort to increase IPB points in international publications," he said. (Wied)
