Al-Hurriyah Mosque of IPB Organized Gerakan Subuh Berjamaah (GSB)

More than 3000 people perform dawn prayer in congregation at Al Huriyyah Mosque of Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB). This activity is called Gerakan Subuh Berjamah (GSB) and had been carried out  for three days on 18-20 August 2017.  GSB was participated by IPB Rector, Prof.Dr.Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, lecturers, students and residents around IPB campus.

"The GSB has become a national movement in various regions even in various universities. I fully support this activity. GSB aims to establish ukhuwah Islamiyyah among the campus communities of IPB. GSB will become the routine agenda of Al Hurriyyah Mosque," said Rector.

Ustadz Hamzah who had the opportunity to be priest of present GSB, on 19 August 2017, emphasized that the positive value of this movement is that students will get positive energy before starting the activity. As stated in many verses and hadith of Rasulullah SAW which says that people who perform dawn prayer in congregation will get a lot of blesses.

"Allah has  granted assurance of liberation from hellfire and those who prays regularly  will be blessed and all his activities will be carry out smoothly," said Ustadz Hamzah.

He hopes this GSB becomes a routine agenda, especially for students. "Hopefully, the participants of GSB of IPB will not feel that those are compulsory, but more because of the awareness of the importance of the dawn prayers in congregation, so that the result of this GSB will not only affect itself but also the environment" he said.

One of the GSB of IPB participants who do not want to be mentioned his name, said that GSB of IPB could have a positive impact because with the fighting spirit of GSB of IPB is very large.

Meanwhile, Chief Executive of GSB IPB, Luqni Maulana Hidayat said, "If dawn is good then Insha Allah activities and activities will be good too." (Wied)
